August 2025, Provence, France
A week-long private catering project for a 40th wedding anniversary, hosted at a beautiful Provencal farmhouse in the Luberon.
The focus was on long, informal meals, seasonal ingredients and service that felt calm and unobtrusive, allowing the hosts to step away from logistics and properly enjoy the celebration.
I worked closely with the clients in advance to design the menus and understand dietary preferences, before arriving ahead of the event to source ingredients locally and prepare the kitchen for the week.
Across the stay, I cooked separate early suppers for children, followed by three-course evening meals for the adults. Starters and main courses were served family-style, with desserts drawing on classic French formats, subtly reworked.
Menus included beef fillet with roasted potatoes, zhoug and green beans dressed with olive oil and dukkah, finished with a red wine reduction, followed by raspberry clafoutis with cardamom crème anglaise.
Menus were adapted throughout the week for individual dietary requirements, including gluten- and dairy-free dishes and pescatarian alternatives, without separating guests or disrupting the flow of the table.
For a group of sixteen over multiple days, I brought in a local assistant to handle table service and clearing, allowing me to focus fully on cooking and kitchen operations throughout the event..
